Dr. Colette Brooks, known affectionately as Dr. Lettie, is a highly qualified and compassionate therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples overcome the effects of trauma. With a deep understanding of the importance of broadening one’s perspective, she guides her clients towards healing, happiness, and personal growth.

She has invested years in acquiring the knowledge and expertise required to assist her clients in their transformative journeys. Dr. Lettie obtained a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, as well as two master’s degrees, one in Clinical Mental Health and the other in Education and Human Development. Her extensive education and training have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of trauma and its impact on individuals and relationships. 

As an EMDR Certified therapist, she specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a technique widely recognized for its effectiveness in treating trauma-related disorders. She combines this modality with her vast clinical experience and her commitment to ongoing professional development, remaining up-to-date with the latest advancements in trauma therapy. 

In addition to her expertise in trauma, she has a specific focus on working with career women who find themselves trapped in the aftermath of their trauma, unsure of how to attain true happiness. She also specializes in LGBTQ couples, recognizing the unique challenges they may face and providing a safe and inclusive space for them to heal and flourish. 

Her approach centers around healing the wounds of the past, gaining clarity in the present, and paving the way towards a future full of fulfillment and purpose. She firmly believes that everyone carries their own share of pain, but that healing and growth are achievable for all. By fostering a collaborative and empathetic therapeutic relationship, she empowers her clients to take charge of their healing journey and achieve their goals. 

As a military spouse, she possesses a unique understanding of the challenges faced by the military community. Her experience strengthens her ability to connect with individuals navigating the complexities of military life and assists her in tailoring her therapy to suit their specific needs.
