Our mission is to help individuals and families access the support they need to realize their full potential. Through trauma-informed therapy, addiction support, and community-based services, we are committed to building stronger families and healthier communities.

What insurances do you accept?

PathwaysFCS can accept payments from the following insurance providers: Aetna, Anthem, Care First, Cigna, GEHA, HealthKeepers Plus, Innovation Health, Optima, UMR, and some Medicaid plans. That being said, every case is unique and it is best to verify that your chosen clinician is in-network for your insurance.

Where are you located?

Currently we have three physical offices- one in Reno, NV, another in Stafford, VA, and the final in Herndon, VA however we have a fourth location in Mechanicsville, VA opening on January 2nd, 2026. You can view our addresses on our Locations page.

What if I prefer to do my counseling online?

That is 100% okay! We have clinicians that offer both in-person and virtual sessions, so you can experience your counseling from the security of your home if that is what makes you most comfortable.

Can you prescribe medication?

While we do not prescribe medicine, we have excellent referral partners who are ready and available to support medication management for our clients in collaboration with our counseling.

How do I make an appointment?

Click here to fill out our Appointment Request form and get started on your journey with PathwaysFCS. Someone will be in touch within 24 hours to match you with a clinician and get your counseling started.

What if I do not have insurance, or can’t afford counseling?

We believe in making mental health care available to all which is why we are pleased to offer the Sliding Fee Discount Program for individuals and families who are uninsured, underinsured, or experiencing financial hardship. Click here to read more about the program and see if it is right for you.

What if my legal partner's insurance is better than mine; can I use theirs?

When you have health insurance through more than one plan, coordination of benefits (COB) is the process insurance companies use to decide which plan pays first and how much the secondary plan will cover. We provide our clients with guidance on this process at the start when you begin counseling at Pathways. To learn more about COB, click here
