Laura Bell, LPC, NCC
Clinical Director, Pathways Herndon
Laura Bell is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with a deep passion for helping people heal, grow, and thrive. She brings over 15 years of experience working in both school counseling and outpatient mental health, which gives her a unique perspective on supporting individuals across all stages of life.
Laura began her career as a school counselor, walking alongside students and their families as they navigated the challenges of childhood and adolescence. This experience helped shape her understanding of how early relationships and experiences impact our sense of self and well-being. Moving into outpatient counseling, Laura expanded her focus to working with adults, couples, and families, offering care that is both trauma-informed and rooted in empathy.
As an EMDR Consultant and Faculty with the Center for Excellence in EMDR, Laura is dedicated not only to her own clients, but also to training and mentoring other therapists. She loves helping clinicians deepen their skills and confidence in EMDR, and she places special emphasis on the power of the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for healing.
In her role as Clinical Director at Pathways Herndon, Laura combines leadership with heart. She strives to create an environment where clients feel safe and understood, and where staff feel supported and inspired in their work. Her approach blends clinical expertise with warmth and authenticity, offering hope to those who are facing trauma, life transitions, or simply looking to reconnect with themselves.
Laura believes that healing is possible for everyone—and she considers it a privilege to be part of her clients’ and colleagues’ journeys toward resilience and renewal.
