Sarah O'herlihy

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Hi, I’m Sarah. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor based in Northern Nevada. As a native Nevadan, I feel deeply connected to this community and the people in it. I bring a steady, compassionate presence to my work navigating trauma, instability, and major life transitions. Much of my clinical career has been spent serving individuals experiencing homelessness, which has shaped my respect for resilience and the importance of meeting people where they are.

My work includes individual and group therapy, crisis support, and collaborative care with community providers. I am trauma certified and EMDR trained, and I integrate these approaches in a grounded, practical way that prioritizes safety, trust, and real-life change. I value therapy that feels human and collaborative, where clients can build skills for stability and self-understanding.

At the heart of my work is a belief that meaningful change happens in the context of a genuine therapeutic relationship; one built on respect, honesty, and care. Therapy, to me, is a space to slow down, listen inward, and gently reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside or learned to stay guarded. My hope is to create a grounded, supportive environment where you feel seen, respected, and met exactly where you are.

Outside of the therapy room, I recharge by spending time with animals and taking long drives to clear my head and reset. Staying connected to simple, grounding things helps me show up fully for the people I work with.
